I had the same shitty service from Cavalier but luckily I was able to switch back to AT&T in about a month although it took longer than i wanted because Cavalier technicians don't know how to do their job and want to blame other companies for their mistakes. I too had the same problem of them trying to bill me for their service after I was switched over to another company. I live in Michigan so I contacted the Michigan Public Service Commission Enforcement Division and filed a complaint against Cavalier. It might be called something a little different in your state. I found the number on the Michigan webpage. After a week I was contacted by a representative from Cavalier and my account was finally closed along with a zero balance. I would of let them take me court if they wanted their $35. They are nothing but a waste of time and money. I hope this helps.
