Question regard adding more bandwidth usage

Hello Everyone

Does bell offer anymore $25 extra+ monthly prices for unlimited bandwidth? Because I called sympatico customer support yesterday and they have insisted that they dont offer anymore $25 extra for unlimited. is it true? someone or the sympatico admins that known about this please advise me on how I can add $25 dollar for unlimitted bandwidth because we since to always go passed 90gig monthly usage.

as of late

@videotron.ca

yes & no.

Some people get unlimited for free, the 25$ unlimited is given and then Bell applies a 25$ credit to your bill.

Some people don't get the "special" and move on to wholesale ISP's who actually do have unlimited.

Normally "support" will tell you no.

The avenue to take is by either calling billing and fighting for it, Or hit the option to cancel and tell them you want to cancel due to no longer having unlimited. Is some cases that "retention" department will then give you unlimited for free, some times they won't.

Up to you to call and fight for it, or move on.

Nothing is consistant as of late.

for moving to another isp provider,ya I am looking into it. Right now my contract is not over yet, and i cant terminate my connection or else a $100 fee. For arguing with them about canceling, I did that. is seem that they do not care. man this suck I wanted to added another extra $15 dollar on my bill so I can get unlimited or like above 100-150 gig per month because I have I have 5 fucking computers, and we gaming, streaming music video, doing homework a lot, and 90 gig per month is too less. Thanks for the advice bro.

The correct answer is NO there is no unlimited. Bell agents are not supposed to sell unlimited, nor are the retention agents supposed to sell unlimited ... even though some have sold "unlimited" by offering to credit any overage charges for some period ... other agents appear to be lying.

The best you can do is add usage insurance which will give you an additional 30 GB.

I got that conversation this afternoon with a CSR I told him I was on unlimited and he replied back in a fury bell doesn't have unlimited bandwith, and I told him no "I was on unlimited" and he put me on hold for 45 minutes I had to hangup, my lunchtime was over. Mentioning unlimited to Bell is like swearing in a church. The funny thing is they are aware of there's no unlimited service anymore but %95 or their CSR don't even know what VDSL is.

Hi sbrook, right now I am on total performance with bell plus $10 per extra 30 gig that equal to 90gigs per month. Ya i have asked for another 30gig extra, but the replied was a no as they said only 30 extra can be applied to one account only. I am stuck. this is just .................................

So what is gonna happen if you go over 90?

I would imagine he will then pay $1.50 per gig with a max ceiling of 30$.

If he does 110-gigs or 200-gigs this would put him at the 30$ range.

Now what doesn't make sense in his case is, if he does over 110-gigs he is paying that 10$ insurance for nothing.

He will be paying Internet cost + 10$ insurance + 30$ for 110-gigs or more.

If he does 110-gigs he is better off dropping the insurance and just pay the 30$ B/W over charge. It will save him $10/month.

But either way you look at it, if anyone does over 60-gigs why pay bell almost the cost of having 2 dsl lines?

For the less cost you can get 1 dsl line from a wholesaler and save 40$/month

Or for the same cost (the cost of the over-charge + your dsl cost) you can get 2 dsl lines from a wholesaler and bond them!

Time to switch to Teksavvy,

$29.95/month with 200GB Cap & Tech support thats 10x better then Bell & Rogers.

I would call them and complain saying they took away your unlimited so now you want to Cancel without paying any early cancellation fees. its only fair. They screw you & you screw them.

if that does not work contact David Crull or whoever one of the top guys are that speak english.

Tekksavvy really got my touch, sure Tekksavvy will be one and only for my future isp provider, but right now I may just stick with bell until the contract is done. I'll contact David Crull or whom ever the head of whatever you call them that can solve my case.

thank you all for the solutions and advices!!!
