#2 soft focus
Hi. Thanks for stopping in for a look.

I'm interested in your preference of the two variations of this photograph. Rather than simply identify the one you prefer, please explain why if it's not asking too much.
#1 has been sharpened
#2 has more of a soft focus

Thank you - Taylor

Just looking at them here I like #1 better because what I see in "#2 Soft Focus" is lack of contrast.

My choice is the first one also.

The soft focus one looks lost with no actual points of references to pick.

#1 because of better contrast (I can read McFadden's better) and I can see the person better. Overall, I just like it more than #2. Nice image!

Going against the grain here... I prefer the soft focus version because it fits the whole evening/night mystique better in my opinion.

I'm leaning towards #2 as well. #1 just has that fake movies set type look to it to me. I think it would really depend on how it's used though. If you're hanging it on wall, definitely #2, but if it were to be used as an ad or something similar, I'd go with #1.

I prefer #2. It actually looks sharper, to me.

Not trying to be different, but I like both equally. Nice image.

I am with Sue as to liking both. Were I to be pushed to have to make a choice, I might go for the soft focus just slightly due to the lack of the sharpening! I know. That doesn't make sense, but to me it does. I like the feel of night better in that one.
