I finally looked at the router log at the point of disconnect and here it is. 5/7/08 08:22:43 PM L3 ipcp: negotiated IP address 70.243.111.90 5/7/08 08:22:43 PM L3 ipcp: negotiated TCP hdr commpression off 5/7/08 09:30:14 PM L4 lcp: link dead - closing connection 5/7/08 09:30:20 PM L3 PPPOE: Sending PADT packet for PPP , Session 0x1f52 is closed 5/7/08 09:45:46 PM L4 HTTP: "Admin" host 192.168.1.5 logging out (timing out) 5/7/08 09:57:51 PM L3 Service-Name=ANY 5/7/08 09:57:51 PM L3 Host-Uniq 0000021D 5/7/08 09:57:51 PM L3 AC-Name=90084030600447-rback5.spfdmo 5/7/08 09:57:51 PM L3 Service-Name=ANY 5/7/08 09:58:18 PM L3 Service-Name=ANY As you can see it takes a little time for it to restart. I have not been on long enough today to see if it happens again. This has been such a dependable DSL service. |

| Do you have a lot of messages like this: 2008/01/08 19:28:35 GMT | L4 | RFC1483-1 up
This line may indicate trouble on the loop, errors. 5/7/08 09:30:14 PM L4 lcp: link dead - closing connection
The 2210 log isn't as useful as the speedstream log, but you may want to set the modem to keep the log on restart, that along with the other stats may offer some clues to what the issue is. |
