<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/545429"><b>auggy</b></A> : Ok, you appear to be running the latest version of the sound and graphics driver.<br><br>Looking at the minidump files you posted seems to indicate a problem with the kmixer.sys and sysaudio.sys.<br><br>Both of these drivers will be updated with SP3. The sysaudio.sys was not updated with  KB920872 - the hotfix that caused the issue on your system.<br><br>Because KB920872 caused an issue does not necessarily mean that SP3 will cause the same issue. But that possibilty does exist.<br><br>If you are thinking about installing  SP3  the sysaudio.sys and other system drivers will get updated and the issue that existed after KB920872 may not exist after installing SP3.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/545429"><b>auggy</b></A> : The minidump files showed that the kmixer.sys and sysaudio.sys were involved in the crashes.<br><br>There have been some reports of problems with  KB920872 and Soundmax integrated audio such as losing sound after applying the update.<br><br>It may help if you could obtain an updated driver for the Soundmax integrated audio.<br><br>I would also suggest to see if you can obtain an updated driver for your graphics.<br><br>It appears you have a laptop? What make/model do you have?]]></description>

I've set Windows Update not to remind me again of KB920872.<br><br>I assume this update is included in SP3 so is it going to be installed with it?  If so, is there anyway to get rid of it after SP3?
