Thanks again everyone for the replies... Any chance someone could provide an educated guess as to make & model of the "High-Def only" (non-DVR) settop box I'd be getting? Again, per local Cox, they're currently out of stock, but expect a shipment of new boxes w/in 2 weeks or so... I'd like to research a bit, but I'm flying blind as to exactly what model it would be. I tried calling local Cox CS, but the gal didn't seem very educated on the topic... |

Feverfive, I'm still just a little confused as to what it is you are trying to accomplish. After speaking with video technicians in my local Hampton Roads, VA market they were able to confirm what I suspected which is that the standard digital receivers do not have HDMI ports or component cable connections because that connectivity is not required for standard definition digital programming. If your goal is to be able to receive some HD programming you will have to upgrade to at least a HD receiver to get that programming from Cox or if you TV has a digital tuner you can receive over the air HD that way. |
