I just received my 4100B in the mail and understand I will have to set it to bridge mode to still use my router. I don't want to install any software. Must I first connect the modem to the PC in order to get my ID and password before switching the modem to bridge mode? Or can I start out by going straight to bridge mode and performing some other procedure to get my ID and password?
