yea when i switch it to 720p using HDMI it doesnt happen, but ill try using the 1080i with component cables. i do have a Wii Remote charging dock plugged in via USB to the STB, but that never interfered with my FiOS SD boxes or the same model box, but with Comcast service. Shaded horizontal bands or lines that roll up or down the screen can be an indication of a ground loop problem caused by 60 Hz interference from a ungrounded or poorly grounded piece of the A/V setup. But a line that shows up every few minutes is a weird one. Typically, ground loop will show up as shaded bands that go up or down the screen continuously. I had this problem once with Comcast and it was caused by a poorly grounded co-axial cable line.

I have seen many posts on here from people with weird behavior or SD-HD channel switching problems with HDMI. This happens not only with Verizon, but all the cable companies. I think many people would be better off using component cables for the cable/Fios STB/DVR. its not green....its just this like maybe 1 pixel line that moves up the screen from the bottom to about the middle, then it goes away.
