I'm looking for a program similar to Print Shop that is either free or has a free trial. Does anyone know of something? Thanks.

Which functionality do you need exactly? Plenty of programs that might do one thing or the other great (print CD labels for example). You could try iWork and use Pages to layout documents. |

I want to make a picture with graphics and neat lettering to print on iron-on paper to put on a t-shirt. I guess it doesn't matter which program will do it, however, it's just a one time thing and I don't want to pay for it if I can help it.

The GIMP is free. It's the Gnu Image Manipulation Program—runs on *nix platforms—including OS X

You must have Apple's X11 installed to run GIMP.
