They increased enforcement, people crossed the bridge, and we got a blip of crime in 2007. We are already down 25% 2008 v. 2007. The muni wi fi setup was doomed from the start, it was ill-formed and simply an attempt by the last mayor to make some positive difference in his eight years in office, and he failed (though he succeeded in continuing Philly's proud tradition of "pay to play" politics, and FBI indictments of high level city officials - even Mayor Street's office was bugged by the FBI) |
