Could be numerous things. Some lovely ground animal nibbling on your cable, a bad amp, water in the tap (happened last year with the bad ice storm and quick melting we had here, caused a lot of trouble), splitter going bad Thanks, that's helpful, and all certainly could happen without being obvious, I imagine. I hope it's something that's easily fixed!
And it turns out, after one family member actually watched TV for a while late last night, that the channels above 100 that do come in are pretty much not corresponding to the alleged channel number. Guess we have Cable Roulette going on. |

Guess we have Cable Roulette going on. Tech came out, and turns out we were on the wrong map. Another household in the area had a similar problem. We're apparently borderline between two maps, and must have somehow been put on the wrong one between Tuesday and Thursday |
