<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/715679"><b>sded</b></A> : If you are directly below them, you are probably near a null in the dipole antenna(s) they use with their router.  In any case, you can usually improve performance by using something like an external USB adapter so you can adjust your antenna to get the strongest signal more easily, and maybe put it out by a window to see if that helps.  Higain adapters like the Engenius 362ext and the Alfa can improve things quite a bit.]]></description>

They most likely have an omni-directional antenna so the wireless signal is going in all directions. Also, they are many things that can interfere with wireless signals.]]></description>

However we live in an appartment they live on the 5th floor and I live on the 1st. I found a good hotspot in my apparment and it picked up wifi very fast.<br><br>However everyday I have to keep moving the position of my laptop to get a signal why is that so?<br><br>The wifi router is already at the 11 channel.
