In any case, you can usually improve performance by using something like an external USB adapter so you can adjust your antenna to get the strongest signal more easily, and maybe put it out by a window to see if that helps. However we live in an appartment they live on the 5th floor and I live on the 1st. I found a good hotspot in my apparment and it picked up wifi very fast.

The wifi router is already at the 11 channel. I have a copperwire I have read about it but where do I put it on my laptop to boost the wifi signal.
