Why has the availability of FiosTV for Albany been tied to the VHO being built in Erie? These counties are a lot closer to Albany than Erie.

Orange and Dutchess counties are being fed from the Flushing, Queens VHO, which is still probably closer than Erie County. The reason Albany will come from the Erie VHO may have to do with the overall national architecture of the fiber rings that deliver the service from the Super Head Ends in Florida and Illinois, I believe. I'm really confused by Verizon's Fios plan for Albany. I have had Fios internet since Fall 2005. Now they have the Verizon sales people walking the neighborhoods trying to sell Fios. I told the kid that came to my house that he is wasting his time.
