The setting you want depends upon how Verizon has set you up. Most new installs are now DHCP.

Your speed tests should show you getting the speeds you signed up for. If you're not, that's another story and has nothing to do with being on PPPoE or on DHCP. |

I'm guessing you don't have TV. |

I'm guessing you don't have TV. Not the OP, but I have a PPoE setup with TV. Internet was installed July 2005, TV April 2007. There is no technical reason that you can't have TV with PPoE that I am aware of.
As you said, depends on the equipment at the CO which way to set-up the router. -- REMEMBER: Stupidity should be painful !! |
