having an outlet and using an outlet are different things. They will only charge if you use.
and as i mentioned above most techs dont care unless it makes their job hard.
i don't know why shaw would charge per outlet but my best guess is the more outlets and splits you have the more signal you need to feed those outlets. although that usually doesn't change outside the house, but shaw will put an amp in and replace if needed at no charge... they need to make their money somehow.
but in the end i can agree with you why pay per outlet. |

| All 4 outlets are connected to TVs, 3 of which are used daily, so it's not that they're not used. I don't know if Shaw charges anyone these days for the extra outlet, but they have the right to.
I agree, a difficult customer and/or installation and an installation fee will likely be charged. |
