1, because of the inward-leaning lines. It draws my attention to the top of and beyond the painting. In doing so, it extends the subject and gives a sense of something there but not seen somehow. (Or, I'm over-thinking it.)

3 I like because of the simple shapes and the balance of the composition. The muted colors and fine detail in even the shadows are wonderful.
