:I had some good luck getting advice/answers from this forum, so I'm headed back to the well.
I have a client hosting their site on my vserver (through Host Gator). I switched the domain yesterday, and the transfer happened almost immediately (I was shocked -- in a good way).
Everything seemed fine, but the client finds that she can't send email from her existing account at nj.rr.com to her new email address on my vserver.
She's able to receive email from anywhere else, but emails from RR go nowhere.
I contacted Host Gator support, and they said that, according to their log files, the emails from her RR address never made it to their mail servers. They said this indicates a problem on RR's end.
The truly odd thing is that she was able to send to her new email address from her Treo, which is linked to her RR account. I don't know much about Treo, so that may or may not be significant.
Does anyone have any idea/experience that might help explain what's going on here? Is Host Gator right in saying it's a RR problem?
The dns change most likely did not propogate through to the whole Internet yet. Give it a few more days.
