If I reboot the router, I will get 15/2, but over the course of a day or two, it will drop to about 8/2.   I reboot, everything is fine.<br><br>This just happens on the wireless side.  The wired computers never have a problem.]]></description>

I'll turn it off completely (unplugged0 for this test.<br><br>What happens when you shut it down?<br>We'll see. <br><br>What happens when you turn off UPnP?<br>Will try that after seeing if the speed drops to ~10 with Wii off or not.<br><br>Are there any QoS rules established that would explain the slower speeds?<br>No.<br><br>After you shut down the Wii, does the speed return to normal? <br>Wii is unplugged. If speed still drops with Wii off, this test probably won't be useful, but will do it for fun. :)<br><br>If you reboot the router to restore normal speed test and do not turn on the Wii, does the speed test drop, or does it only drop after the Wii has been turned on?<br>Will see after initial "Wii off" test results are in.<br><br>I think when you get less than you expect on a speedtest, something else is using the rest.<br><br>That would have been my first guess, however so far haven't been able to pinpoint it. I did hear mumblings about the router having issues, primarily with people being on peer to peer networks, however nothing about this specifically. I was wondering if the small NAT table affected XBox live in the same manner.<br><br>Of course, I could purchase a new router and relegate the Actiontech to guide duty only, however I don't know what models to use these days. My old WRT54G won't handle the bandwidth, even with the sveasoft firmware.<br><br>Thank you again for your time and suggestions. I'll report back what I find, if anything.]]></description>

When your speed test shows 10/1, are there any entries in the router log that are anomalous? Check both the firewall log and the system log.<br><br>See if there is other router traffic that's taking up some of your 15/2 so your speed test looks like 10/1. Make sure your computer is on but running no user-directed programs for at least 10 minutes. If you have TV, no guide search or VOD. After 10 minutes with no activity, run your speed test. Note the results, then log in to the Actiontec, go to System Monitoring, Advanced Status, answer Yes, select Bandwidth Monitoring.<br><br>Copy and paste the stats in your reply here. <br><br><small><b>ADDED:</b></small> Never mind the bandwidth monitor page of the router. It counts the bits within that minute, and displays the average per second. Speed test results will only be accurate there if it is a sustained transfer through the entire minute.]]></description>

Connecting to the router and rebooting seems to fix this and immediately after, I get 15/1.8. I don't do any file transfer or P2P, just web browsing and XBox live.<br><br>Ideas?
