Re: [Help] access to my home network server via the web

thanks for replying

can you please put this into english, ?

IIRC WB TOS allow no downstream servers

regarding the point about my ISP not allow access to my network via the web, I have spoken to them and recording to them, that this option is not turn off, but the problem I will have is the DHCP? but as this is a test rig procedure, before I go and purchase a Fix IP.

Hi

I am having problems working out on how to do this.

I would like to open a port? to allow me access to my home server from anywere in the world via the WWW. the reason behind this is that I have a lot of information on my home network server and I would like to access it from different locations in the world.

I have a belkin F5D5230-4, and my ISP is Virgin in the UK with a DHCP address from them, but if I can get this work, the way I want it to then I will get a fix IP.

the way I would like to have it is as follows

I type in my domain name with the port ID, and it takes me to my server, and asks me to log in.

can anyone help me but informing me on the procedure I must take and if I had to do any security upgrades to my system

thank you
