[Connectivity] What's left for me to do ?? Our of Ideas.

»Tech installed a New Line to house, now what??

I've done everything you guys have told me to do, I've done all those tweaks and tests many of you asked me to do.
I still have a 1MEG connection, no joke, from 2pm to 4am every single day.

What is left for me to do at this point?

thanks for your assistance.

Since you've tried all the normal channels have you tried calling the executive escalation help line?

What method what I use, who would I ask for when calling, how would I phrase my request??

Also, would this be the regular 1 800 comcast number?

thanks

Just to be clear on how my LINE comes into the house I made this very crude diagram. PLEASE tell me if you see something wrong.

Uh ya....

The leg on the 1st splitter that goes to the 2nd, eliminate that splitter(meaning the intenet/tv, 2nd splitter).

That split needs to go on a tv leg of the 1st splitter. I dont think it'll be the miracle fix, but not sure if anyone else suggested this

Are you saying my internet connection needs to come off of the 7dB leg of that 3-way splitter? Not the 3db leg?

It should go 2 way to three way. One leg off the 2 way feeds the 3 way then the other leg of the 2 way feeds the internet.

So based on these cable modem values you feel things are not hooked up correctly?

Downstream Value
Frequency 579000000 Hz
Signal To Noise Ratio 37.7 dB
Power Level -4.0 dBmV
The Downstream Power Level reading is a snapshot taken at the time this page was requested. Please Reload/Refresh this Page for a new reading

Upstream Value
Channel ID 3
Frequency 30000000 Hz
Power 46.8 dBmV

thanks

It doesn't matter what configuration you use, as long as the signal levels are acceptable.

Your stats remain in spec. I suspect that power levels / SNR are not the cause of your issue. Just the fact that you have been going over and over on this for the past couple months without resolution seems to rule them out.

Your numbers are good!

Request a new modem/splitter, have a tech check the wiring outside the home, or consider trying another computer. Like you have said, you have exhausted most, if not all of your options. All thats really left is my 3 suggestions, going through the process again(narrowing down), or canceling the service.

Sorry, I can't be more helpful or optimistic. But you have received quality suggestions above. If, after all your trying, you still haven't found the solution, it seems tough to be anymore helpful.

This is true. The reason you put it off the first splitter is to try to maintain signal integrity for example keep the downstream power up and transmit level down.

Now onto my other point. If you have not had techs out there who have climbed the pole, checked MER, BER, and ingress then you have not even began to look intot his problem. it could be as simple as a bad fitting behind a wall plate of a TV kicking back really bad ingress. There are so many different things that can happen.
