[southwest] 2nd ActionTec Router, Still Upload Problems (Orange

I got Verizon FIOS a month ago, and it has never actually worked reliably. I wish I had done more research about FIOS and would have begged for the ethernet access on the ONT instead of coax. But now I am screwed and I wish I could go back to even 3mb DSL.

1st Router and 2nd Router have the same problems. Any speedtest (flash/java/etc...) I run has fast downloads (11mbit for 1st Router, 15mb for 2nd router), but as soon as the upload portion starts, nothing happens. On Flash, (Speakeasy), it just says Upload in progress with 0 effect. With Java, it's actually able to upload 50kb, but nothing happens after that point.

This is a problem, because hitting web pages/signing in to say secure pages (email like yahoo/hotmail/gmail) happens like this - As soon as I enter a log-in for any secure http page, it takes maybe 15-20 seconds to actually log-in and hit the mail page.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? Anything else I can do? TIA!

Sounds like a pc specific issue, do you get the same results on all coomputers?

yes i hd a similar problem in it was a bad wire to the router, you might want to check in see if thats whats wrong. VZ switched me to ethernet in it fixed my problem.

Yes, on 2 seperate wired PCs and 2 wireless laptops.

Uploading to anything > ~50kb hangs (doesn't work at all)
