I have an intel core2 e6600

so i ended up doing a xp repair which rolled it back to IE 6 and xp1 and the problem still persists

Thew network card is functioning nomal(according to device manager) but the computer is unable to pull an ip from the netgear (614??) router

The error code is listed here - »www.mathemainzel.info/files/w32i···ors.html .

It seems to be a problem with the TCP/IP stack on the PC.

Check the network card's properties and make sure the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is enabled.

You could try resetting the TCP/IP stack - »support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

If that doesn't work, try resetting Winsock2 - »support.microsoft.com/kb/811259
