| I wonder if they were pushed a bit as people stopped buying while waiting for the 3G version? I know I will be looking seriously at an upgrade of my current phone and if I was looking at a new iPhone right now I would be sitting on my hands.

Interesting from the Enterprise iPhone page.
Enterprise features in iPhone 2.0 software beta.
I hope this does not mean the iPhone 2.0 will have software features incompatible with iPhone 1.0. It does say iPhone 2.0 "software" beta. So who knows.

| The "iPhone 2" and "iPhone 2.0 firmware" are two separate things.. iPhone 2.0 firmware will run on the original iPhone. Apple has already stated that it will. It will also be ported to the iPod Touch for a fee.
I'm not saying there won't be some new features that will only work on the new iPhone (3G related ones, etc), but the iPhone 2.0 firmware will run on the old iPhones. |
