Convergence along a dry-line has decreased as a result of a surface trough that has formed just east of the dry-line. As the dry-line pushes eastward over the next several hours it will merge with the surface trough. Convergence will then increase significantly as this happens allowing for rapid re-development of showers and thunderstorms through 9 PM in the various tornado watches issued for these areas east of I-35.



Residents of the Southern Plains east of I-35 should monitor their severe weather forecasts frequently for further statements, watches and possible warnings this evening and overnight as the system continues to move east.
