and reverted back to the windows default
boot screen and all went according to plan
alls well now and alot faster I must say with
SP3 ;)

I was having the same problem hayc59 See Profile is having and thanks to bcastner See Profileand the link he provided i found out that Tuneup Utilities was what was causing my XP SP3 update to not install, so i followed the instruction at the Microsoft link and what d you know SP3 installed without a hitch. Are you able to revert the change to the boot screen via the TU Utilities program?
