| [ Bright House] CFL - RR - Issue
Is anyone else having an EXTREME latency issue today? Ive done the norm, cycle/reset modem and can't seem to ping FDN's network faster than 400+. Of course I call Brighthouse and they have NO clue what they are doing. So they are sending a tech out tomorrow...
Sigh, I wish this company had a clue on what real troubleshooting was, or some real monitoring software for their network. |

Oh for the record I do DSL tech support and have done it since DSL was rolled out in Orlando, so I have a bit of knowledge on internet connectivity.

gross... they said they received a few calls about it already and if there is "outages" it would take at least 2-3 hours to figure out a solution |

| reply to Elementz Yup, slow all morning here in Orlando. But the site linked above says
"Road Runner is currently experiencing issues with the cable network. Subscribers in the affected area(s) may experience a loss of connectivity, usually indicated by flashing modem lights and/or a loss of video service. Our engineers are working quickly to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." |

| reply to Elementz I'm here in the Deland area and the latency is quite horrible. I was thinking it might have been me but now that I read that serivce notice on the link above, I feel a bit better. Hopefully they can get this issue resolved soon.

| reply to Elementz I just talked to Roadrunner and the agent admitted a big slowdown in Central Florida (although I don't see it listed on network status for some reason). I've been ranging from 60Kb to 4Mb download this morning, 1Mb upload.
I believe tech support is somewhere in Canada, so they won't know any more than what they are told. |

| reply to Elementz I noticed this when I woke up around 11, and reset my router and modem, then called BH and hey said it should be fixed by late this afternoon.
I am at about half speed for downloads still.
Was hoping this might have something to do with upping the standard speeds, but I am fairly sure that it doesn't |

| reply to Elementz Lost connection overnight at some point before 5:30 am. I think it was probably much earlier than that. I am in Columbia SC. I guess it is a major network issue. I just regained access recently and it took me over an hour just to get a speed test and get into this thread. I can't even get any pages from RR.com to load before my browser times out, so checking my local network has been a big fat ZERO. |
