ah yes...the useful texting system thats getting kids in accidents everywhere. While I agree it could be useful, its mutated into a different baby...almost like Rosemary's.

Just as email has its general use, spammers and marketers have 'ruined' it. Many sms can be sent to phonenumber@carrier.com
