Re: Server problem

If this is a new 4200 speedstream, it has the new WS firmware with the "Walled Garder setup software built into the router. Unplug everything, and leave the 4200 plugged into the computer, if you are using windows 2000, xp, or vista, launch Internet Explorer, the setup screen will automatically appear, follow the setup process, (there is no way around it), then the modem will be set up in router mode, and you will have internet access. If you dont want the 4200 a s a router, then after the setup process, log into the modem -192.168.254.254 admin/admin then put it into bridge mode. If youare using a MAC then the service desk will have to manually set up youre account.

If you are on a MAC using safari, go into the the preferences, turn on the develop menu, exit preferences. Go to the develop menu on the menu bar and under user agent select Internet Explorer 7 for windows. now you can complete the setup as though you were on a windows machine, no CSR needed. When you are done set the user agent back to default and turn the develop menu off.

I tried this and still got the "unsupported browser" message. Any ideas?
