I hope every single one of you have had and are having a wonderful day, whether you're a mother or not. 
I shot these images almost a year ago. This was a technique I started working on and still have never gotten to follow up on it, it has some serious potential in many different settings I think.
The first image I hid colored glow sticks behind the flowers and while the shutter was opened painted them with a flash light.
The others are just long shutter delays and painted with a flash light. Painting with light can create some incredible moods and results.
Anyways enough of the techno-mobo-jumbo. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL!

said by lewt :that is some cool lighting Thanks lewt . This "painting with light" technique was something I started learning about a year ago but didn't follow up on it. It can create an amazing mood if done right. It pretty much has to be done at night, or in a location where there is little enough light to use very long exposures. Painting with a light and using glow sticks of different colors really adds something magic. Heres another shot I did about that time, the illumination in the windows are the colored glow sticks.
