| [Help] Help with Bolivian adsl
I need help with this issues ive been having please.
ISP technician came home past week and changed modem's web configuration, changed the defaul gateaway from 200.xxx.xxx.xxx to 201.222.xxx.xxx , after that he set a PPP username : 0000@ipdinamic and set a password (which i dont know).
After that, speed test showed and inmediate decrease, download speeds went down from 920kbps to 630kbps.
When testing, speed go up to 700kbps then hits something like a cap and drop down again and i cant pass that barrier, the weird thing is that the modem's config »192.168.1.1 still shows 1024kbps speed advertized but can get the speed i use to have a week ago.Past tests show 930up/450down now im lucky if i get 630/256.
Cotas is my ISP and advertized speeds are 1024/640kbps. My modem is UTstarcom 300r2.
I live in Bolivia where broadband still very expensive and not much people can afford it i pay over 75$us per month and you will agree that thats wayy too much.
BTW my isp uses PPPoA config.
