anon : I absolutely agree about the lack of HD channels. I have completed the survey for Florence, KY. two times now and nothing has changed. It is extremely frustrating to see the announcements all over the country that Comcast has added 15 HD channels in this city and in that and nothing from Insight. It's getting to the point that there are almost daily announcements of providers adding channels and nothing from Insight.

bigredtbone : I honestly could care less about these channels. While it'll be nice to have new channels, there are others out there I'd rather have, and I'd much rather have a lot of the HD channels out there than another MTV and another shopping channel.

I really hope we get new HD soon. It feels like we're always the last people to get any HD...

shiv : Are these new channels actually coming? I got a new bill over the weekend now that doesn't even mention them. How hard is it to get three new channels dropped in to the lineup after a month's notice? It seems like this happens every time they announce new channels -- we hear the channels are coming and then they take forever to get them turned on.

If they can't even get three "regular" channels up, it doesn't really bode well for more HD content right now, does it?

shiv : Does anybody know when these channels are actually going live? I'm in Northern Kentucky (Florence to be exact) and these channels were listed on our last bill as coming in June but I haven't seen any other reference to them. I am really looking forward to mtvU and Logo and am curious when they're actually going to be watchable and what channels they will be at.

Fingers crossed for more HD content soon as well! I really want MGM HD and CNN HD.

bigredtbone : We got our bill yesterday, and it said that on June 2nd (I think) there were 3 new channels coming:

MtvU
ShopNBC
Logo

No channel numbers were listed, but ShopNBC is on 242 on Columbus (the system with many more channels than the rest of us). I was really hoping that the next announcement of channels would be new HD channels. Maybe that will come soon...
