Having been a Flight Attendant for 2.5 years in the past I can tell you that in an airplane common sense and decency are not so common.

I find that when people travel they often over pack and include everything, even the kitchen sink. Then they figure that they can bring it all as carry-on luggage and get upset when they can't lift it overhead.
While I'll be the first to recognize that overall, flying is generally cheaper today than it was 20 years ago, the government and industry have done a very poor job of making the skies friendlier. For one thing, ticket prices should be flat. They shouldn't look like phone bills.
No add-on fees, taxes, etc. If they're higher, SO BE IT. All airlines are on a level playing field. There is nothing more ridiculous than buying a $39 ticket that costs $80. If its going to be an $80 fare, then be honest and sell it as such, don't hide behind fine print and footnotes.

We take carry-on, because checked baggage gets "lost", and theft is extremely common, especially now that we can't lock it.. If you want us to check baggage, then FIX the baggage system. You've had decades, and it only gets worse.

Otherwise, you're a flight attendant. We're the customer. Deal with it. Singapore Girl does, and with a smile on her face. Its only a matter of time before foreign-flagged carriers operate domestically, so you'd best be up for it.
