| Down and up but fixed
During a bad storm this morning around 4am my connection went down. Thinking "here we go again" I headed off to work but when I returned at 18:00 the line was still down. I called the 800 number and got a human who was not "in the office" but would call me back. He did so 40min later and started with the "unplug the router" and I said which one. After I noted that the DSL router was being used as a bridge we got to work. He had to "bounce" the router and I was able to connect. Problem was my IP had changed. He fixed that little issue and I was back online.
This reminded me of the tech support of old but I might have just lucked out with the right guy. |
