If you want guarantees and SLA's go get a T1. Otherwise stop your whining and grow up.

A comment like that makes you sound like a Verizon troll.

As for the OP I get the same response. I live in a marginal area and anytime I have problems I get the same crap. I really wish I could just video record my connection when its working decent.

Its been horrible with constant request time outs the past few days. It always seems to do this towards the end of the month. Maybe its because I actually use my bandwidth and they try and lag me off the connection.

Some days I can go steady -69dBm as low as -63dBm and have a great connection with no request time outs. Other days with similar weather I get constant hang ups and watch my connection bounce from -69dBm all the way up in the -110+ range.

Its irritating and I've given up on calling support. I use a full 14dBi yagi mounted 25 feet in the air and Intelligian 3 Watt amp with my setup.

I'm really hoping after the foilage drops I can get the connection back from another farther tower that was consistent at 800-900 down vs the current 250-500 down I get currently. Forr the most part I'd say I average around 300 down on the current tower but it likes to jump up and down.

anon : the problem might be an oversubscribed tower but i had sugested this to the verizon help desk and they replied that he was not able to tell me the exact locations of the towers that were verizon.. most of verizon towers are old or subleased space off of some other tower... The other thing i had stated to them was i have the same service on my cell phone and in this area it also SUCKS... Please describe a " Marginial area".. i live in the center of 3 towers which are all withen 1- 1.5 miles away... i had parked under one of these towers and the service still is horrible.. PS.. Verizon also had offered to let me out of my contract with NO FEES.. The reason being is that i have unlimited service whcich they are trying to get rid of customers like me that stay connected all day and night.. Verizion the new dial up for 70$ per month .. get a cable modem Bright house offers cable connection real cheap with speeds from 7,15,20 meg connections... Awsome for the price faster than a T_1

jacedh2 : UP TO 6--1.4 I live in the docks, I mean WAY OUT, I am happy to have 455 speeds. If the tower is oversubscribed, how do you prove it? If such is the case, thats a tough lawsuit, and Verizon has some of the BEST Lawyers, I know this, because they have A LOT of unsatisfied customers...

anon : Sounds like to me you are probably on a very oversubscribed tower.

The simplest way to prove this would be to run down the street, use a laptop and test your connection off a different tower. At least then you would have proof 100% that it's not your equipment and its the tower you use for your residence/business.

anon : Stay productive, responsive and connected while on the go, right from your laptop at average download speeds of 600 Kbps – 1.4 Mbps and at average upload speeds of 500 Kbps – 800 Kbps.* " right off their web page"

As verizon customer, I have found what they advertise and what they deliver is 2 different things. I pay average 60.00 per month for their wireless service and have to call them every week because of speed issues per contract in first paragraph. I have just got off the phone with them and they are trying to tell me that they can not deliver what is in the contract because of “a marginal area." My signal strength is in what they call very good range -72DBM and I use an external antenna. Some days I reach speeds of over 1 Meg but most of the time it is below 300kdownload and 100k uploads. After the last conversation I was told that they would waive the cancellation fees "fees they created" if I wanted to move to another provider. I feel that they should not only reimburse for the time that the service was not working properly, but also reimburse for the useless equipment that they sold me with great expectations. On most cases this would be considered breech of contract. As a tech myself I have determined testing with them as well as my own testing that the issues are not with anything on my end. As an added note I was also told in the verizon store as well as with their phone service that this USB720 wireless modem can also be used to send faxes with no additional charges. I have had this account since January with no charges until the past 2 months, last month they credited back the fees. Now I am stuck in a 2 year contract that I am not happy with or I can cancel it, they waive the fees and I still will have to purchase new devices from another provider."$150.00" If there is an ongoing class action lawsuit against them for this whom do I need to speak with? Verizon should not only be made liable for false advertising, but also be made to reimburse all billed fees since activation as well as the cost of this device... Note: this device is a mobile device but I currently do not use it as such, it is attached to a fixed workstation and does not move.

Please contact me @ either this email address or by telephone (941) 525-0904.

Thanks for your help in advance, Michael S.
