| iBook (PPC) and Time Machine Restoration problems
Trying to migrate from a backed up copy in Time Machine onto my wife's iBook (PPC). I am refering to the migration from a reformat, not the act of entering TM from a Leopard
It failed twice at the same point.
Apparently (and paraphrasing with tech support told me), PPC chips don't do well with an Intel machine (TM and MyBook).
Not a total disaster since we can still access the data via the TM Backups. We have a 6PM appointment with the Geniuses to make sure the data comes over properly.
Word of warning to other PPC Leopard users out there (if there are any/many)...TM restoration process isn't as easy as if it were an Intel chip (MacBook, etc.) |
