| I dont even see such a drive on NewEgg. Where would you get it?
And if the dimensions arent approximately the same as a standard 2.5, I wouldnt putz with it. Youre only asking for trouble. Why would you need such a large internal drive? What can it do that adding an external cant? -- You're so vain... I bet you think this post is about you. |

| reply to mgaus77 If you've checked the internals on an MBA, you'd first see it's a 1.8" drive and secondly that everything inside it is packed in like sardines as is (owing primarily to a large battery). The dimensions are so thin that even a double-platter 1.8" drive like the 160GB iPod unit will not fit. |

| reply to mgaus77 Go in, extend the drive cables out a hole you blast in the case, and duct tape the drive to the lid.
Also duct tape an external battery next to it.
That's about the only way you're getting anything larger on one of those. Of course, it kind of defeats the purpose. -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |

| Or you could use a set of pliers and bend the external metal casing enough to fit it in there. It's only the case, it's not like youre actually putting the pliers ON the disk platter. -- You're so vain... I bet you think this post is about you. |
