@videotron.ca | NIS subscriptions renewal
Hello all,
Has anyone out there using NIS on the three machines you're allowed under their license done a subscription renewal?
Does the renewal at $50 cover all the three machines (as you'd expect), or is it per machine? |

| Sorry but I do not know the answer to your question. If you don't get an answer you can do what I do...go out and buy a new NIS at Fry's (or your local retailer) when they have one of their rebate-a-ramas going on and you will end up getting it for free. |

The first machine should reflect the change right away and the 2nd and 3rd machines should reflect the update the next time that they update their definitions. |

Otherwise Norton may lock itself, and you cant restart it, without an new install. -- Say no to fear. Dont let anxiety crush your life. Live life free and unfettered.

Then one night I threw caution to the wind and took Symantec up on their offer to upgrade to NAV 2008. I upgraded one computer from NAV 2006 to NAV 2008, and six computers from NAV 2007 to NAV 2008. Two of those six computers are Vista machines. I eventually got a multi-license copy of NIS 2008 for those two computers. All my computers run NAV or NIS 2008.
What is the kicker, though, is I now have five straight months (March - August) that I have to fork over some cash to Symantec for another year's subscription. -- Team Discovery

| Owlbet, I'm sure that Symantec wouldn't mind if you renewed some of them early so that you only have to do them at one time. |

| reply to hoz When my NIS 2008 expires, I will go to the store and buy a retail copy of NIS 2009.
If you renew online, Symantec enrolls you in their automatic renewal program, so your credit card is charged automatically every year. I hate that. You can cancel the automatic renewal program, but it's a hassle and I got tired of doing it. A new retail copy is simpler. |
