Rebate processor Spam, Scam

I have been getting over 250 of these IDENTICAL spam messages every single day for a couple of weeks now.

I went to the web site and as usual, they require a "Down Payment" to join, which saya SCAM to me.

I went to the REMOVE link, but so far ( 2 days ago) I am still getting these pests.

Here is the original Email:

It's likely a scam based on what I've seen about it at quick glance. The unsubscribe link is active, but when you go to the top level domain serrirostres.com, it doesn't resolve.

When you do a WHOIS lookup on the domain serrirostres.com, it's all hidden and private information.

If you really wanted to, you could report it to the company that hosts the website, Beyond The Network America, Inc. Their e-mail address is support@btnaccess.com (that's the only relevant one I could find which seems a bit shady, too).

Also, clicking the unsubscribe link will often times just validate your e-mail address. If you aren't unsubscribed after 10 days link the link says, you can take it up with an offense of the CAN SPAM Act.

Rules of Spam emails:

• Don't read Spam emails.
• Delete all Spam emails.
• Never reply to Spam emails.
• Never buy any products from or through Spam emails.
• Never use Spam emails un-subscribe links as that just confirms your address is 100% valid and it will not get you un-subscribed, it will only guarantee that you will get much more Spam emails as your email address will be sold to more Spammers on a list of confirmed emails.
