 Help Response...... wow...

I have one open request for help "[Connectivity] Rolling Meadows IL and internet problems" and got one response that did nothing to help solve the issue.

I personally have DSL at home and use the AT&T boards for assistance and get GREAT Response (10 years now).

I have been monitoring this ComShaft board all day and not a single person seems to have ANY Reasonable response.

As I have searched and browsed the messages on this board, it appears there is more guess work than anything going on unless it also has issues to other area's of expertise (i.e., power related problems).

As I said in the original post, ComShaft Support has been no help. Is there Any Tech Support Personnel Here?

you need to calm down. 99% of the people on here are not techs. You can keep making all the posts you want, but I doubt it's going to inspire somebody to help you. I would think most techs are working at noon.

Calm Down?
I have been watching chit chat on everything from Power on the lines to What Do You Pay.....

Yet, I have not seen a single Official or Un-Official support person respond to just about anything on this site.

Most of the Outage from yesterday seems to be Informative information with no official value. Things just seemed to clear them selves up.

The question is simple...
Are there Official Tech's monitoring this site and if so, where are they?

First off, you need to contact Comcast about the problem, and explain to them whats going on. If your not getting a internet connection, then something is badly wrong/setup.

Maybe if you are more clear as to how you have your internet setup we could help.

As far as, "Official" Comcast help, you are looking in the wrong area.

Some companies actively monitor these forums and get involved with fixing problems reported here. Others don't. I personally don't see it as a big customer service issue, since no company out there has the resources to monitor every forum on the Internet. They all pick and choose. Some don't go outside of their own customer support sites at all.

If you want to attract some attention from Comcast there are a couple of things to try.

1) They have their own support forums at »forums.comcast.net/ You might get a response from a Comcast employee there, but most of the responses actually come from knowledgeable fellow customers, not employees. To tell you the truth, most of the customers who hang out in Comcast's forums actually know more than many of the employees, so that's probably a good place to start.

2) There are a few other sites that seem to be watched more closely by Comcast employees who are in a position to intervene and help. One is »comcastmustdie.blogspot.com/ You could also try posting on twitter (I read an article a short time ago about how Comcast has someone monitoring them). I've also seen some people have some success with getting the Consumerist to post about their plight »consumerist.com/

3) None of these is a good substitute for actually calling or chatting directly with a CSR. Try that first, and only go public with your problems if that fails.

What's the problem..?

-Edit, just read it. Did you even TRY the reset hole on the back of the modem? Swap Ethernet cables?

I don't think I can look up a modem in IL

Perhaps because this isn't an official channel for support?

People tend to help when they can. Nobody is under obligation. This is a members helping members forum.

Please don't open more than one thread on the same issue. Your topic is here ---> »[Connectivity] Rolling Meadows IL and internet problems
