Did you write this down?<br><br>You can likely find the full message by looking at the service  pack installation log.  The message and error details will be listed near the very bottom:<br><br>Open the Svcpack.log file. By default, this file is located in the C:\Windows folder. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/898317"><b>OSIU</b></A> : I downloaded SP3 from windows update and tried to install it on my desktop with Windows XP Home.  During the install, I get a "handle is invalid" error.  SP3 is then uninstalled and I am forced to reboot and SP3 is not installed.  What am I doing wrong?<br><br>My copy of SP2 is valid and I do have SP2 on my computer. Disabling the antivirus/spyware software did not help. <br><br>I was able to install SP3 on my Dell Laptop that had XP Pro on it.<br><br>Thank you!<br><br>OSIU]]></description>
