i don't know all the technical aspects but i can tell you that test isn't very accurate. i'm beyond certain my torrents are being throttled (with boost,) and according to this test i passed as well. i first noticed the use of sandvine's rst/reset on ool back in mid november (the 14th to be exact.) maybe this test is based on that? they (ool/comcast/etc) changed their methods, however, a few weeks ago (due to those fcc hearings?) for the worse and now u/l and d/l speeds are taking a gigantic hit. |

| Yeah, I was wondering as to the accuracy of their Java tool. Right now, everything is peachy as long as a download is in progress (both down and upstream). As soon as the client finishes and attempts to seed, the speeds drop to a fraction of a kilobyte per second. I've played with the encryption settings and it doesn't look like there's much difference, even when encryption is forced.
