Re: Server problem

Even with me manually setting it up as a bridge it didn't do to well, but you can do this:
»192.168.254.254/brgmode.htm.
to place the modem in bridge mode. Here is where I found it:
»windstream.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/···opview=1

then you need to put these in as the DNS:
* Static DNS 1: 166.102.165.13
* Static DNS 2: 207.91.5.20
this was found here:
»windstream.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/···opview=1
though its for a linksys router I am using it for a netgear router. but any way I thought I'd let you all know and give the info encase someone else needed it. Thanks for the help.

If you go through the bridge mode that way, no change is needed. Only if you create a new device connect on the modem do you need to change those numbers. It is currently set to 35 under the default setup and the default setup is dual mode.
Are you getting a connection/IP with the router doing the PPPoE? The netgear still needs to be setup to fwd http service to your XP Apache box. This is normally under a rules section of the netgear. Forward port TCP 80 to the internal IP of your XP IP. Normally you do not need to enter DNS info in bridged mode. You just enable require user/paswd log in, PPPoE, obtain DHCP/DNS from provider.
