As soon as I get into windows it says "Welcome to Windows for Workgroups" and it has a login and password.  Issue is the mouse doesn't move and the keys don't type.  Strangely the keyboard works fine in DOS 6.22.  I've tried changing the keyboard in C:\Windows\setup to different types, but it still doesn't work.<br><br>What a strange problem, considering I have everything else running.  Sound works, AMDNet with TCP/IP and DHCP, MSCDEX and CD-Rom driver, DOSIDLE driver for newer processors, etc.]]></description>

The NT family had no such constraints.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/730219"><b>GunnarDanne</b></A> : So I installed 3.1 on vmplayer because... well I guess I was bored. But I was surprised at how easy it was. I remember when I got my pc with 98 on it (400mhz PII) and it had the fastest cpu available. I was blown away when my 486dx2 that it replaced booted up much quicker. I guess I'm just amazed that a full fledged OS can fit on a few floppies. Memories..]]></description>
