 | I like Sprint I like sprint. I rely heavily on alltel roaming at home but everwhere else is pretty good. I do live in the middle of nowhere. Sprints roaming agreements ARE better than verizon and anyone elses. Yes, verizon does roam on sprint, but only in select areas. I know this because the town i live in had sprint coverage for years and anyone with a verizon phone couldnt get any service at all until verizon added a tower. With sprint you can use verizon and alltel pretty much anywhere. So its like you have 3 networks for the price of 1. |

| How can Sprint's roaming agreements be better than anyone else? They roam with VZW and Alltel. Alltel roams with Sprint and VZW. VZW roams with Sprint and Alltel. They're the SAME! Nobody's coverage is better than the other. They're all the same. Especially since their each others only options since they're the only actual EVDO providers in the US. |

There are other smaller CDMA carriers that apparently Sprint has agreements with that Verizon does not. I read a couple years ago that Sprint covers 295M population with roaming and Verizon covers 290M. Have no idea if it's true but the article explained why. |

| Sprint roams with Cricket/Leap Wireless i do know that but usually Cricket does more on the Sprint network. MetroPCS is also a CDMA provider that Sprint has a contract with but again Metro does more roaming on Sprint than they do on Metro.
Alltel is Sprint's largest roaming partner; since they cover over 50% of the smaller areas that Sprint or VZW won't touch.
I remember when Alltel was called 360 Communications when they first started with car phone bags. |
