Wondering if someone can take a look at the minidump for me, wasn't really doing anything at the time, had just played World of Warcraft and exited but stepped away. Came back in a minute or so to the Windows didn't shut down properly screen.
Thanks a bunch, pjhofmann |

| reply to pjhofmann Also, the BSOD you experienced is the same as was reported in the following thread:
»[Vista] BSOD Vista part 2
You both appear to be running the nVidia driver nvlddmkm.sys albeit different versions.
Have you recently updated your graphic drivers such as via Windows update?
Any other recent software/hardware change?
What graphics device do you have? |

| I'm running a BFG 8800 GTS (640MB) card with 163.75 from nVidia's site, an older driver but has worked perfectly for me on WoW. The newer driver creates artifacts while running WoW. I never update drivers via the WU, have heard horror stories about that.
Thanks for looking guys, pjhofmann |

| reply to pjhofmann Are you running SP1? The reason I ask, is because it contains the Microsoft memory management hot fix. This fixed a similar crash that I would get on my Vista gaming rig. I am running a Nvidia 8800 GTS. Here's some info on the hot fix. »support.microsoft.com/kb/940105/en-us |

join:2000-08-22 | I did recently patch up to SP1 about 10 days ago, first issue I had since though. Not sure what to make of it but WoW has done funny things for me before, normally don't worry too much about it unless it becomes chronic or causes graphics glitches. |
