jp : As a follow up to spam addresses. Spamcop also has an email address (need to be a member) that you use for everyday use. When you get email, spamcop holds the email and sends back a response that requires the sender to acknowledge they sent the email (for spam this will usally bounce). Once the sender acknowledges the email, the held email and all future email from that sender is passed through to your personal pop email account. Other filters can apply as well.

Neat system but requires more management.
--
Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they are yours

For more trusted sites (such as this fine body of fellows speed-addicts and otherwise sleep derived (depraved?) individuals) I give one of my "important and highly valued" POP3 e-mail addresses. I reserve my most cherished POP3 address only for close friends and families. Unfortunately, once a spammer has your address, it is hard to stop it from spreading like the plague. The only way I was able to get to this state is to start with a new ISP (which I did when I got my cable modem service installed).

--
...may the band be width you...

[text was edited by moderator]
