Why would you even consider buying it when Earthlink is willing to give it to anyone who will take it over? 
Of course, if you took it over, you'd also have to take the contract that goes with it.  |

But they didn't want to pay the cost of operating it. And small wonder, since it cost plenty to run and brings in little to no revenue. And with hardly anybody using it, there were no prospects anyone else would want it.
