Re: NIS subscriptions renewal

For 2006 or latter versions, you are entitled to free upgrades to the latest version so long as your subscription is current, so, renewals still make sense.
amysheehan See Profile told me about a year ago or so ago about the upgrades with a current subscription, but I didn't want to mess up what was already working by upgrading. Then one night I threw caution to the wind and took Symantec up on their offer to upgrade to NAV 2008. I upgraded one computer from NAV 2006 to NAV 2008, and six computers from NAV 2007 to NAV 2008. Two of those six computers are Vista machines. I eventually got a multi-license copy of NIS 2008 for those two computers. All my computers run NAV or NIS 2008.

What is the kicker, though, is I now have five straight months (March - August) that I have to fork over some cash to Symantec for another year's subscription.

Owlbet, I'm sure that Symantec wouldn't mind if you renewed some of them early so that you only have to do them at one time.

LOL! I'd do it only if they offered a volume discount.
