Re: I want to learn how to buff a car.

Try a clay bar.
Clay bar doesn't remove scratches. It can pull loose paint, clearcoat and debris/dirt out of the scratches though. And if not used properly it can leave extra scratches.

1. Never use pressure on your clay bar. A soft touch is all you need for maximum results.

2. Always use enough clay bar lubricant to avoid scratching. You want the clay bar to slide, not drag.

3. Be careful not to drop the clay bar while using it to avoid picking up any solid contaminants and dirt particles that can damage your car. If you do drop it accidentally, re-mold the clay until you have a new clean surface to work with before using it again.

4. Clay bars are reusable until you can no longer get a clean surface after molding the clay into a pad.

What’s the point of owning a supercar if you can’t scare yourself stupid from time to time?
