SysV. SunOS was BSD-based.

Solaris is based is based on SunOS, which is based on System-V. Early versions of SunOS were based on BSD, SunOS 4 was the first System-V

Solaris can call itself UNIX.

Check these:

»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix-like

The irony of common sense, it is not that common

SunOS 4 was the last BSD based SunOS. I know since I used SunOS 4.1.4 up until Y2K.

SunOS 5 was the first System-V SunOS.
